This is a great site. Are the above methods still applicable for the latest version of SVN 1.6.x. Any mentionable differences.

I don’t think you should even want svn on a shared hosting account. My advice would be to find a good VPS hosting service and run you svn there. You can configure it any way you want it on VPS ;-)

I have a shared hosting account in which I’ve been trying to install SVN with no success, they told me I had to get a dedicated hosting account. At SVN is already installed, so I can do svn+ssh:// but I’m looking for svn://

Does anyone know a cheap way to get it setup?
