I was a bit annoyed that I had an information that lots of people were looking for at the moment but the pages would not be served.Thanks for the writeup, after installing Supercache (took only a few minutes to setup, too) it works much smoother, and the only slowdown comes from external script.Thanks! Besides that, there were some issues, especially with rewrite rules, that were all solved by moving back to Apache. Another reason for me to use Apache is Passenger (mod_rails).
